The half-day event is free of charge. The symposium’s content has been specifically designed to appeal to government and commercial sector IT executives charged with managing online applications and operations.

As the Internet’s importance has grown to the government and commercial sectors, so have the challenges for managing complex Web applications and related online infrastructure. At the same time, enterprises must continually optimize the online experience as perceived by end users. Keynote’s Total Performance Management Symposium is designed to educate attendees on these challenges and will describe a best practices approach for addressing them rationally and in an extremely cost-effective fashion. The seminar is a valuable ‘must-attend’ event for any government or commercial sector IT executive charged with optimizing the performance and usability of Web-based applications.

John Monroe, editor of Federal Computer Week, will deliver the opening presentation entitled, “Why Performance Matters,” beginning at 9:05 a.m. Mr. Monroe will discuss the key performance issues and challenges facing government agencies today. The next session is entitled, “Best Practices for Tuning Applications,” presented by Nell Cote, a director at Keynote and Kevin Hewett, manager of e-commerce infrastructure for Circuit City. John Klinke, senior product manager at Keynote will deliver the next session, “Taking the Risk Out of Regulatory Compliance.” The half-day event will close with a session on “Best Practices for Service Level Management,” presented by Dharmesh Thakker, product manager for Keynote and Ron Williams, senior manager for EarthLink.

“This event is focused, educational and highly interactive. It will be of great value and interest to IT executives in both the government and commercial sectors who have responsibility for deploying, maintaining and optimizing online applications and infrastructure,” said Arnold Waldstein, vice president of marketing and business development for Keynote.
